Rachel Carter

Rachel Carter is the author of the So Close to You series with Harperteen. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in English and Women's Studies, and she holds an MFA from Columbia University in nonfiction creative writing. She teaches creative writing at Columbia University, Champlain College, and Montclair State University, where she recently spent four years as a Visiting Professor of fiction. Her nonfiction work has appeared in The New Republic, The Faster Times, and Booktrib.com. She currently lives in Central Vermont and works as the Executive Director of the Green Mountain Book Festival and the Editorial Director for Onion River Press.

Rachel Fisher

Print & Production Director, Rachel Fisher, has been with Onion River Press since 2017. In that time she has helped more than 75 authors realize their dream of being published. While she took a long "break" to raise a family, her background is in publishing, starting as an editorial assistant in New Jersey and leaving publishing as the Managing Editor for Hyperion Books for Children/Disney Press in 2001. She is a part-time bookseller at Phoenix Books Burlington where she tries to sell as many books as she buys for herself and her family.

Sofia Silva Wright

Sofia Silva Wright is the Publishing Associate at Onion River Press. She has a B.F.A. in Creative Media from Champlain College with specialties in Visual Art & Design, Creative Writing, and Interactive Design. Sofia has, and still works part-time as a bookseller for Phoenix Books. When she’s not publishing or selling books, she is simply reading them with a cup of coffee in one hand and her cat resting on her lap.

 

Riley Earle

Riley Earle is the Assistant Editor at Onion River Press as well as a bookseller and marketing designer at Phoenix Books. A Champlain College alum, she holds a B.S. in Professional Writing with a specialization in Editing and Publishing. On her days off, you can find her skiing, hiking, or working on a novel of her own.
